The new office of the Georgian Bar Association, "Lawyers' House", was officially opened. The newly built building was opened by the Chairman of the Bar Association, Davit Asatiani, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, the Chairman of the European Bar Association, Maria Slazak, and the Vice-President of the International Bar Association, Claudio Visco. Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and Prosecutor General Irakli Shotadze also addressed the invited guests with a welcome speech. The US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and other representatives of the diplomatic corps attended the ceremony.

Delegations from Latvia and Azerbaijan came to Georgia especially for the solemn event.

Within the framework of the event, the traditional oath-taking ceremony of lawyers was also held. After the one-year adaptation program, about 100 new members were added to the association.

The new administrative building of the Bar Association houses the administrative department, as well as the training center, the ethics commission, and the department of analytical and committee activities. Training and conference spaces and a cafeteria were also organized in the building.

The foundation for the construction of the new office was laid in January 2021. In the same year, the architecture and concept of the building won one of the most prestigious international awards and became the 2021 winner of the Global Architecture & Design Award.

In connection with the opening of the "House of Advocates", a reception for lawyers will continue throughout the day.
