A significant day in the history of the Georgian justice system

Today, the Chair of the Georgian Bar Association, the Chair of the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Prosecutor General of Georgia signed a memorandum formally establishing the Justice Coordination Council and laying the foundation for the institutionalization of the so-called bench-bar format.

The purpose of the bench-bar format is to promote the improvement of the quality of justice and the strengthening of the rule of law through regular meetings and discussions among legal professions.

The institutionalization of the bench-bar format was initiated by the Georgian Bar Association. We congratulate the Georgian legal profession on this important day and thank the Georgian judicial system and the Prosecutor’s Office for supporting this significant initiative.
