On 19 December, the Georgian Bar Association presented its new, ultra-modern and multifunctional web platform, marking the first milestone in the Association’s digital transformation and transparency agenda. The presentation was attended by members of the Executive Board and the Ethics Commission, practicing attorneys, and representatives of partner organizations. The new platform and its core functionalities were presented by the Association’s Executive Director, Giorgi Tshekhani.
The central innovation of the new web platform is the public electronic registry of Georgian attorneys. The registry provides a comprehensive, publicly accessible database of all admitted attorneys in Georgia with active status, significantly improving transparency and access to verified professional information for citizens and public or private institutions.
In addition to the public registry, the web platform integrates multiple practical functions for attorneys, including streamlined access to information across all areas of the Association’s work. Fully operational as of January 2019, the platform was designed to serve both the legal profession and the broader public, reinforcing the Georgian Bar Association’s commitment to openness, accessibility, and institutional modernization.
