As part of the educational program, participants of the Specialized Intellectual Property Law Course, conducted through cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and Cornell University, visited the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), accompanied by Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association.

They also received information on the institutional mechanisms in place for the protection of intellectual property.

The Specialized Intellectual Property Law Course is being held in Georgia for the first time, with the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), in cooperation between Cornell University and the Georgian Bar Association.
