On 14 December, the Association’s General Assembly will elect the members of its governing bodies

9 December 2025

The upcoming elections will be conducted with unprecedented transparency, with dozens of observers and the use of modern technologies. To eliminate any misunderstandings or unfounded doubts or concerns, vote counting will be carried out fully automatically using PCOS optical ballot scanners, while the results of the Chairperson’s election will additionally be publicly hand-counted on site by the vote-counting commission.

Despite these high standards of transparency, some candidates and groups affiliated with them are already attempting to discredit the planned elections in advance through dishonest means, spreading absurd and fabricated accusations. Such actions harm the Association as an institution and the reputation of the legal profession as a whole.

We declare to everyone that any provocative actions during the electoral process, any attempt to disrupt the work of the General Assembly, or any unethical behavior toward colleagues will be met by the Association and the unified body of lawyers with dignity, clarity, and the appropriate legal measures.

We also express our readiness, should they be interested, to invite representatives of the U.S., the European Union, and other diplomatic missions or international organizations accredited in Georgia to observe the General Assembly.

We wish success to all honorable candidates!
