Dear Attorneys,

We are pleased to inform you that, within the framework of the Georgian Bar Association’s digital transformation initiative, and as a result of cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Special Penitentiary Service, the Georgian Bar Association has launched an electronic portal for the advance booking of attorneys’ visits with accused or convicted persons in penitentiary institutions.

On behalf of the Georgian Bar Association, we would like to express our gratitude to the Embassy of the United States of America for its financial support of this important and innovative project.

From now on, attorneys who are aware in advance of the need to visit their clients will be able to book such visits through the electronic portal. This will ensure that meetings between attorneys and their clients are organized and conducted in a timely manner. In addition to providing greater convenience for attorneys and enabling them to better manage their meeting schedules, the effective use of this electronic booking portal will also reduce so-called “live queues,” thereby significantly increasing the efficiency of legal representation and, overall, contributing to the protection of human rights.
