The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association held a meeting with Pawel Herczynski, the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia.

During the discussion, David Asatiani emphasized the crucial importance of granting Georgia the status of a candidate for the European Union membership. He underscored that closer ties with the EU would play a pivotal role in helping the country establish a robust and high-quality justice system.

Representing the legal community of Georgia, David Asatiani, presented a statement to the Ambassador. This statement, addressed to the European Council and endorsed by approximately 1000 lawyers, supports granting the European Union membership candidacy status to Georgia.
