The President of the Bar Association, Davit Asatiani, participated in an international conference held in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova.

The conference was attended by the heads of the bar associations of France, Belgium, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Romania.

The main theme of the conference was “The Independence of the Legal Profession as the Cornerstone of the Rule of Law.”

Davit Asatiani delivered a presentation at the conference, where he spoke about the modern challenges facing the legal profession and emphasized the necessity of unity, independence, and international solidarity of lawyers, which is particularly important for the establishment of the rule of law.

Within the framework of the conference, there was also an active discussion of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of the Legal Profession, where special emphasis was placed on the importance of its ratification by all European countries.
