At the invitation of the Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association participated in an international conference held in Yerevan. Irakli Kandashvili was invited as a keynote speaker in the opening session of the event.
In his speech, he addressed the international audience on the topic: “The Role of the Bar Association in Ensuring the Right to a Fair Trial.”
The conference brought together up to 100 lawyers from various countries. The event was opened by the Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia and the Second Vice-President of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).
Within the framework of Irakli Kandashvili’s visit to Armenia, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the Georgian Bar Association and the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia. The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, Simon Babayan.
The memorandum provides for cooperation between the two institutions. The agreement includes the exchange of professional experience, sharing of legal acts and professional standards related to the legal profession, as well as the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and working meetings.
