On March 6, the Chairman of GBA – Zaza Khatiashvili presented report regarding the activities

implemented in 2014. The presentation was aimed for the international organizations and media. He

talked about the working of Committees and Commissions, implemented projects, guarantees of

lawyers’ professional institutional protection and interference during their professional practice.

The Committees of Criminal, Civil and Commercial Law, as well as the Commission of Rule of Law and

Judicial Reform, Commission of Lawyers’ rights defense are working in GBA to ensure the professional

guarantees and full implementation of the protection.

The report of the Training Centre of GBA was presented by the member of the Executive Board –Irakli

Kandashvili. The report referred to the obligatory seminars and trainings implemented by the training

center in the frames of CLE; as well as holding lawyers’ qualifying exams in a new electronic format.

The working of Commission of Rule of Law and Judicial Reform has to be highlighted, which drafted

the important legislative proposal.

The Commission of Lawyers’ rights defense has discussed several important issues covering the facts of

interference during the professional practice. Each such case has become a subject of great concerns by

the president of CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe).

The Head of the Ethics Commission – Tsitsino Tskhvediani talked about the complaints discussed at the

commission, as well as about the current and ongoing activities. Also she reviewed the activities planned

in 2015 .
