The Georgian Bar Association held its first Legal Pro Bono Forum. Within the framework of the initiative, member lawyers of the Association provided citizens with free legal consultations on various legal matters.
The forum gave interested individuals the opportunity to receive legal assistance on issues important to them, all in one space, throughout the day. The event was held at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
As part of the pro bono project, up to 100 lawyers working in various fields provided consultations on civil, administrative, criminal, labor, family, and commercial law. In addition, participants received advice on real estate, inheritance, contracts, and other relevant legal matters.
The project was implemented within the framework of the Association’s social responsibility efforts and aims to increase access to legal assistance for citizens, raise legal awareness in society, and strengthen the social role of the legal profession.
Within the framework of the project, two more forums will be held במהלך the year, including one in the Adjara region.
The forum is implemented in cooperation with Expertise France, with the support of the European Union-funded project “Strengthening Human Capital in Georgia.”
