The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, hosted Charmian Leaver, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Tbilisi, at the Association’s office.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and the British Embassy, matters of mutual interest, and opportunities for future collaboration. Particular attention was paid to the development of the legal profession and strengthening lawyers’ professional capacities.

The meeting also addressed the challenges facing the Georgian Bar Association and the legal profession. In this regard, the Association continues consultations with international partners to strengthen international support for the development and advancement of the legal profession, safeguarding professional independence, and protecting lawyers’ rights.
