The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, and Executive Board Member and President of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation, Raisa Liparteliani, are in Helsinki on a working visit.
The visit is being carried out within the framework of an EU-funded project, with technical support from Expertise France and at the invitation of the Finnish Bar Association.
As part of the visit, representatives of the Georgian Bar Association visited the Finnish Bar Association, where a working meeting was held between the chairpersons of the two associations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening professional ties. Particular attention was paid to sharing the experience of an EU member state and, within the framework of cooperation with the Finnish Bar Association, exploring opportunities to share relevant practices and experience with Georgian lawyers that could contribute to the development of their professional activities.
As part of the working visit, meetings are also planned with representatives of the Finnish Confederation of Trade Unions and employer business associations. The parties will discuss issues related to the activities of professional associations and opportunities for cooperation.
