The Georgian Bar Association welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Georgia, Mr. Massimiliano D’Antuono, on a courtesy visit. Chairman Irakli Kandashvili hosted the Ambassador at the office of the Georgian Bar Association.

During the meeting, Ambassador Massimiliano D’Antuono congratulated Irakli Kandashvili on his election as Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association and wished him success in his work. He also placed particular emphasis on the role of lawyers in strengthening the rule of law and ensuring an independent and effective system of justice.

For his part, Irakli Kandashvili introduced the Ambassador to the organizational structure of the Georgian Bar Association, its main areas of activity, and the specifics of its work.

Special attention during the meeting was given to the importance of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and the Rome Bar Association.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to implement professional events and joint initiatives between the professional associations of the two countries.
