Chairman of Georgian Bar Association was named a person of the year 2013 according to traditional inquiry conducted by newspaper “Banks and Finances”

The newspaper “Banks and Finances” has published results of its traditional enquiry. According to the results of inquiry of newspaper journalists, management and respondents after Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II a person of the year was named Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili Chairman of Georgian Bar Association.

“Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili amazed whole Georgia couple years ago when he defeated Mikheil Saakashvili in his own arena at the time by winning fair elections and becoming a leader of Georgian Advocates. Last year he achieved even more in the terms of fair elections he got 80% of lawyers’ vote , he was supported by 994 advocates”-says newspaper.

A group of sociologists summarized results of conducted inquiry and first three person were nominated as a “person of the year” including  Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II ,Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili Chairman of Georgian Bar Association and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili. Also top ten people were included in the list: Bidzina Ivanishvili, Levan Vasadze, Inga Grigolia, prince Giorgi, Giorgi Margvelashvili, Eka Beselia and Etc.

Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili has already been named three times.

The newspaper “Banks and Finances” has nominated “a person of the year” since 1999.
